Reception for Qatar and Jordan Ambassadors
On Wednesday December 7 th the Arab Irish Chamber of Commerce held a lunch reception at the Merrion Hotel in honour of His Excellency Mr. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Ambassador of the State of Qatar and His Excellency Mr. Manar M Dabbas, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Ambassadors had travelled to Dublin from London to present their Letters of Credence to President Michael D. Higgins at Aras an Uachtarain.
The event was attended by several of the Arab Ambassadors to Ireland, Government officials and business leaders. AICC Secretary-General Mr. Ahmad Younis and Chairman Mr. Enda Corneille addressed the gathering welcoming the Ambassadors wishing them success in their mission and assuring them of full support to promote bilateral relations between both respective countries and Ireland and closer co operation in all fields.
His Excellency Mr. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, Ambassador of the State of Qatar expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by the AICC. His Excellency spoke of the flourishing relations between Ireland and Qatar and talked about Qatar’s great blend of Arabic heritage and modern culture, making it an attractive destination for investors, expats, and visitors, and a friendly neighbourhood to raise families and build communities.
His Excellency Mr. Manar M Dabbas, Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan thanked the AICC and expressed his pleasure at being in Dublin. He drew attention to Jordans reputation as a country full of opportunities with a central location, diverse geography and unique cultural, religious and historic heritage with growing potential and opportunities for much closer cooperation with Ireland.
