The first Annual Iraqi–European Business & Investment Forum will be held on 21-22 April, 2016, in Athens, Greece, under the theme ‘Iraq and Europe: Cooperation and Growth’.
The two-day event - which will be held annually on a rotation basis in European capitals where Arab-European Joint Chambers maintain a presence - will focus on Iraq’s rising international status by strengthening its trade and economic relations with the European partners; and will assist in the creation of new partnerships between Iraqi companies and their European counterparts.
Sectors and topics that will be covered at the Forum will include: Iraq’s investment opportunities and business environment; modernising the petrochemical industry and sustainable energy in Iraq; construction works and infrastructure projects in Iraq; the transfer of technology and vocational training; and the Construction, Energy and Food-Processing industry.
The Forum’s speakers and program will be announced in detail at a later date. Further details are available online at www.arabhellenicchamber.gr
