Christmas Reception & Dinner

The chairman and the Secretary-general of the AICC hosted a celebratory reception and dinner to celebrate Christmas holidays. In attendance were Ambassadors from the Arab Embassies in Dublin and directors of the AICC.

Guest of honour was H. E. Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates embassy in Dublin. As Dr. Shamsi’s term as Ambassador to Ireland is drawing to a close the AICC Chairman Dr. Niall Holohan presented Dr Al Shamsi with a certificate of appreciation to mark the occasion. In his speech Dr. Holohan welcomed the attendees and reflected on the long historical relationship between Ireland and the Arab countries. Dr. Holohan thanked Dr. Shamsi for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Arab-Irish trade relations and also the fruitful and longstanding relationship that the Chamber has with His Excellency and the Embassy of UAE. Dr. Al Shamsi spoke fondly of his time in Ireland and thanked the chairman, secretary-general and directors of the AICC. He also outlined the important role the Arab Irish chamber has played in fostering and strengthening relations between Ireland and the Arab world.
